The Gariya township lies in the southern most region of
Kolkata city. Raja Subodh Chandra Mallick Road links the locality
with that of the city. The town ship shares its boundaries with
Banshdroni, Naktala and Ganguli Bagan in the south of the city. The
township forms one of the peripheral areas of the city and is devoid
of any tourist attraction as such. However, the region has adequate
amenities to keep itself going. There are some small markets,
restaurants, elementary schools and health care centres.
