Maniktala is one of the many localities in Kolkata city. It
lies in the vicinity of Kolkata city center. The township is located
some 6 kms from the Chandni Chowk region which for the convenience
has been chosen as city center. The adjoining regions of the
Maniktala township include Ghose Bagan on the eastern side, Narkel
Danga on the south and Simla on the west. The canal of Hugli river
borders the entire north western to south-western edge and there is
one more canal going from the north-west to northeast. Maniktala is
interconnected by small roads within the premises connecting to the
main road Satin Sen Sarani that links it with the rest of Kolkata
city.

point is popular in the precincts of Maniktala. The adjoining
regions of Maniktala contain a number of local attractions. The
Maniktal Bazar is the prime market in the region. Towards the east
of Maniktala is located E.S.I Hospital. This hospital serves as the
prime medical centre for Maniktala and the adjoining regions.
Towards the south-west of Maniktala is established the Calcutta
Homeopathic College. The farther north-west of Maniktala is provided
with a park named Deshbandu Park
Satin Sen Sarani road links Maniktala with the Kolkata metro system
and the city at large. The nearest metro station called Girish Park
is about three and a half kilometres from the township and towards
the east of the region.
The nearest railway station to Maniktala is the Bidhan Nagar
Station located a couple of kilometres in the north eastern side.
