About the Museum
Sabarna Sangrahashala has been estblished in 2005 as an exclusive
wing of the Sabarna Roy Choudhury Paribar Parishad.. It is the only
family museum in Kolkata which is open to all visitors. Developed by
the Sabarna Roy Choudhury Paribar Parishad, this unique and the only
family museum has become very popular among the visitors. Within a
span of less than 3 years about six thousand visitors and students
have come to see the collections of historic importance and related
articles on the history of the city. The museum displays the famous
Kolkata Sutaluti govindapur lease deed 0f 1698 obtained from British
Library, London alongwith Rare Kabulatipatras during of Bahadur Shah
I and articles of 17th 18th and 19th centuries.
